
Vabimo vas na 28. literarno-glasbeni festival Živa književnost, ki bo potekal med 29. 8. in 5. 9. 2021 pred Škucem na Starem trgu 21 v Ljubljani. Vsak večer ob 20.00 uri boste lahko obiskali prireditve našega raznovrstnega programa. Škucevo prepoznavno prizorišče bodo polnili književni pogovori, avtorska branja in koncerti.
Letos bomo gostili literarne ustvarjalce_ke Vanesso Martínez Rivero iz Peruja, Javierja Bozalongo iz Španije in Ignacyja Karpowicza iz Poljske.
Domači_e in galicijski_e pesniki_ce bodo predstavili_e enotedensko mednarodno sodelovanje. Medsebojno bodo prebirali poezijo, ki so jo na pesniško prevajalski delavnici vzajemno prevedli v svoje jezike. Nastopili_e bodo Yolanda Castaño, Jesús Castro Yáñez, María Lado, Veronika Dintinjana, Barbara Jurša in Gašper Malej.
Na odru se bodo zvrstili_e tudi domači_e literati_ke Vlado Vrbič, Matjaž Lunaček, Alja Adam in Natalija Milovanović in razgrnili svojske poetike, pripovedne tehnike in esejistična razmišljanja.
Ob njih bodo zaigrali_e glasbniki_ce različnih žanrov, in sicer Shaun Banks, Joži Šalej, Martin Ramoveš in Miha Erič, Primož Vidovič, Quentin Drouet, Resnik/Šalamon duet, Trio Tjaša&Miha&Dani ter Eneja a Marok.
V popoldanskih urah, od 18.00 ure dalje smo pripravili tudi pester spremljevalni program O’ živele knjige. S slednjim želimo pritegniti predvsem otroke in mladostnike_ce, razvijati njihovo ustvarjalnost in spodbuditi zanimanje za branje. Ogledali si bodo lahko lutkovne predstave, se udeležili delavnice kreativnega pisanja in drugih ustvarjalnih delavnic, pravljičnih druženj in predstavitev knjig ter prisluhnili radijski igri.
Dogodki so brezplačni.

Vanessa Martínez Rivero (Lima, 1979) je študirala na Visoki šoli za dramsko umetnost Rodrigo Virgilio Nache v Trujillu ter kasneje dobila štipendijo za študij na eksperimentalni šoli gledališča Cuatro Tablas. Multidisciplinarna pesnica, ki ima izdanih devet pesniških zbirk; je ena najzanimivejših ustvarjalk svoje generacije. Njene pesmi so bile predstavljene tudi v Čilu, Argentini, Mehiki, Kostariki, ZDA ter v Španiji. Erotična lirika Vanesse Martinez prihaja iz notranjosti in njen erotični izraz je neke vrste priznanje, da smo pred tistim najbližjim, pred kožo. Iz tega spoznanja mesenosti prehaja v transcedenco.
Vanessa Martínez Rivero (1979, Lima) graduated from the “Virgilio Rodriguez Nache” School of Dramatic Art of Trujillo, Peru, and later received a scholarship to study at the experimental school of the Cuatro Tablas Theatre. A multidisciplinary poet with nine poetry collections to her name, she is one of the most noteworthy artists of her generation. Her poems have also been presented in Chile, Argentine, Mexico, Costa Rica, the US and Spain. The erotic lyricism of Vanessa Martínez comes from within, her erotic expression being a sort of confession that we have found ourselves before the closest thing, the skin. From this discovery of the flesh, she passes on into transcendence.
Shaun Banks je one man band projekt glasbenika Žana Podgornika, ki prihaja iz več kot 500 let starega rudarskega mesta Idrija. Njegova glasba črpa energijo iz punk rocka, ki se skupaj z dušo bluesa spaja v garažni rock. V njegovi glasbi se čuti preplet podeželja in industrije mesta, kot tudi vpliv glasbenikov kot so Robert Johnson, The Black Keys in The White Stripes. Na njegovih koncertih lahko občinstvo iz prve roke izkusi pravi pomen izraza one man band, saj Banks celotno glasbeno zasedbo predstavlja kar sam. Istočasno igra kitaro in tolkala ter poje, vmes pa zaigra še na orglice.
Shaun Banks is a one-man band project of the musician Žan Podgornik coming from a more than 500-year-old mining town of Idrija. His music derives its energy from punk rock that, alongside the soul of the blues, blends into garage rock. In his music, one can feel a mix of the countryside and the industry of the town as well as the influence of musicians such as Robert Johnson, The Black Keys, and the White Stripes. The audience attending his concerts can gain first-hand experience of what the expression one-man band is all about. All at once, Banks plays the guitar and the percussions, sings, while also playing the harmonica.

Vlado Vrbič (Šoštanj, 1955) je končal študij sociologije. Od 1988 do 2004 je bil direktor Kulturnega centra Ivana Napotnika Velenje, od 2004 do 2021 pa direktor Knjižnice Velenje. Pripravljal in vodil je tudi večje dogodke: Pikin festival, državne proslave, raziskovalne tabore, kjer je bil mentor novinarjem. Kot urednik in soavtor je sodeloval pri več monografskih izdajah in se ukvarjal s publicistično dejavnostjo. Prevedel je dve knjigi iz srbohrvaščine (Ivana Ivanjija Titov prevajalec in Stalinova sablja). Prav tako je soavtor knjige Spomini rdečega kralja in avtor knjige življenjskih zgodb Sto zaleščanskih portretov. V zadnjem desetletju se je posebej ukvarjal z življenjem in literarno zapuščino pesnika Karla Destovnika Kajuha: uredil je prve njegove Zbrane pesmi (2015) in napisal biografski roman o Kajuhu Prestreljene sanje (2020). Je urednik zbirke knjižnih izdaj ob stoletnici pesnikovega rojstva KAJUH 100.
Vlado Vrbič (1955, Šoštanj) graduated from Sociology. From 1988 to 2004, he was the Director of the “Ivan Napotnik” Cultural Center Velenje. Afterwards, he was the Director of the Velenje Library in the years 2004–2021. In addition, he organized and hosted major events: Pippi’s Festival (Pikin Festival), national ceremonies, research camps, where he acted as a mentor to journalists. In his position as an editor and co-author, he collaborated on producing several book-format publications and was engaged in journalistic activities. He has translated two books from Serbo-Croat (Tito’s Translator, and Stalin’s Sword). Likewise, he has co-authored the book Memories of a Red King and authored the book of life stories One Hundred portraits from Zalesje. In the past decade, he has dedicated much of his time to the life and literary heritage of the poet Karel Destovnik Kajuh, editing his first book of Collected Poems (2015) and writing a biographical novel about his fate, A Dream Shot Through (2020). He is the editor of the book series marking the hundredth anniversary of Kajuh’s death entitled “KAJUH 100”.
Joži Šalej (1972) je študiral glasbeno pedagogiko na Akademiji za glasbo v Ljubljani. Med študijem je sodeloval v več pevskih zborih, zadnjih 20 let pa sodeluje z različnimi ustvarjalci na področju šansona in uglasbene poezije. Redno deluje predvsem v slovenskih gledališčih kot pianist in korepetitor.
Joži Šalej (1972) has studied Music Pedagogy at the Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana. During his studies, he collaborated with several choirs; in the past 20 years, he has worked with various artists in the field of the chanson and the poetry set to music. He regularly works for Slovenian theatres as a pianist and a repetiteur.

Javier Bozalongo (Tarragona, Španija, 1961). Že več kot 30 let živi v Granadi. Objavil je več pesniških zbirk: Líquida nostalgia (2001), Hasta llegar aquí (2005), Viaje improbable (2008), La casa a oscuras (2009), izbori iz njegove poezije pa so izšli tudi v Kostariki, Ekvadorju, Mehiki in Argentini. V letu 2016 je izdal prvo knjigo kratkih zgodb Todos estaban vivos, leto zatem pa še knjigo aforizmov Prismáticos. Pesniška zbirka Todas las lluvias son la misma tormenta je prejela mednarodno nagrado “Blas de Otero”. V zadnjih letih je izdal še več aforizmov, pesniško zbirko in knjigo haikujev. Že dolga leta je dejaven tudi kot urednik pri manjših založbah. Trenutno je urednik pri Sonámbulos Ediciones (www.sonambulosediciones.com).

Martin Ramoveš (vokal, kitara) in Miha Erič (lap steel kitara, vokal, ustna harmonika) svoje delovanje že vrsto let brusita pod odrskimi in galerijskimi žarometi. Tako na likovnem kot tudi na glasbenem področju izražata svoj notranji (ne)mir ter povezujeta eno z drugim. V zadnjem, kriznem letu za umetnost, se je zopet porodila želja po soustvarjanju in sedaj predstavljata kopico novih pesmi.

Matjaž Lunaček je zdravnik, specialist psihiatrije in psihoanalitik. Poklicno se je ukvarjal s psihoterapijo. Psihoanalitično vednost uporablja tudi na pedagoškem in literarnem področju. Piše strokovne članke s področja psihoanalize ter eseje in kratke zgodbe. Do sedaj je izšlo pet njegovih knjig. Med literarnimi ustvarjalci ga še posebej zanima Arthur Rimbaud, o katerem je lansko leto izšla njegova monografska knjiga Rimbaud, za vedno.
Matjaž Lunaček, medical doctor, psychiatrist, and a psychoanalytic who has devoted his professional career to psychotherapy. One of his main areas is the application of psychoanalysis to literature and pedagogy. He publishes academic papers in the field of psychoanalysis as well as essays and short stories. Five of his books have been published to date. Among authors, he is particularly interested in Arthur Rimbaud, which resulted in his publishing a book about him, Rimbaud Forever, last year.
Primož Vidovič je 25-letni pevec, kantavtor in prvonagrajenec 18. KantFesta; z zasedbo predstavlja Sence, koncert avtorskih šansonov. V grotesknih baladah, zbadljivih satirah in nostalgičnih popevkah so združeni strast in drama kabareja, zvoki tanga, klasike in džeza, z bogatimi harmonijami in trpkimi disonancami. Pripovedujejo in se izpovedujejo o sodobnem človeku, ki med cinizmom in ideali išče svojo pot, v tem svetu in onstran.
Primož Vidovič is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter, the laureate of the 18th KantFest International singing-songwriting festival. With his group, he is showcasing Sence (Shadows) with a concert of his original chansons. These grotesque ballads, biting satires, and nostalgic pop songs blend the passion and drama of the cabaret, the sounds of tango, classical music, and jazz with rich harmonies and bitter dissonances. They narrate and confess the fate of the modern human seeking his path in between cynicism and idealism, in this world and beyond.

Alja Adam, pesnica, predavateljica in specializantka geštalt psihoterapije je na FF diplomirala iz primerjalne književnosti in sociologije kulture. Leta 2007 je na isti fakulteti doktorirala s področja študij spolov in feministične literarne teorije. V letu 2020 je zaključila četrti letnik študija na GiTi, Inštitutu za geštaltsko psihoterapijo. Objavila je štiri pesniške zbirke (Zaobljenost, 2003, Zakaj bi omenjala Ahila, 2008, Dolgo smo čakali na dež, 2015 in Privlačnosti, 2020). Njene pesmi so prevedene v štirinajst jezikov in objavljene v domačih in tujih publikacijah ter antologijah. Že več let sodeluje z JSKD kot mentorica kreativnega pisanja. V okviru inštituta Satori deluje kot terapevtka, izvaja »literarni coaching« in vodi tečaje joge. Živi in ustvarja v Ljubljani in v ekološki vasi Sončni grič (Hrvoji).
Alja Adam, a poet, lecturer and specialist registrar in Gestalt Psychotherapy, who graduated from Comparative Literature and Sociology of Culture at the Faculty of Arts, Ljubljana, where she also earned her PhD in Gender Studies and Feminist Literary Theory in 2007. In 2020, she finished her fourth year of study at Gita, the Institute of Gestalt Psychotherapy. She has published four poetry collections (Roundedness, 2003; Why Mention Achilles, 2008; We Have Long Waited for the Rain, 2015; and Attractions, 2020). Her poems have been translated into fourteen languages and published in both national and international periodicals and anthologies. For a number of years, she has collaborated with the Republic of Slovenia Public Fund for Cultural Activities as a mentor of creative writing. Within the Satori Institute, she works as a therapist, a literary coach, and a yoga instructor. She lives and creates both in Ljubljana and the ecological village of the Sunny Hill in Hrvoji, the Slovenian Istria.
Quentin Drouet je pianist, ki se je rodil v francoskih Alpah in leta 2010 diplomiral iz klasične glasbe na Glasbeni šoli v Grenoblu. Ob strasti do glasbe je leta 2012 magistriral iz urbanistike na Univerzi Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée. Poleg projektov prostorskega razvoja za več francoskih smučarskih središč razvija lastne glasbene stvaritve, ki jih navdihujejo čustva in potovanja. Odprt je za eksperimentalne projekte, zadnja leta je v knjižnicah, knjigarnah in na kulturnih večerih v francoskih Alpah večkrat spremljal branja književnosti. Odtenki, ritmi, harmonije, disonance, melodije, naključni toni … tišina: vse je lahko del glasbene zgodbe, v kolikor glavna namera zagotovi enotnost. Svojo poklicno pot v Franciji je prekinil leta 2020 in vpisal doktorski študij prostorskega načrtovanja na Univerzi v Ljubljani. Ob svojem doktorskem raziskovalnem projektu je odprt za razvijanje prisrčnih in vključujočih glasbenih projektov z drugimi vejami umetnosti.
Quentin Drouet, a pianist, was born in the French Alps and obtained a certificate of classical music studies at the Grenoble School of Music in 2010. In parallel to his passion for music, he earned a Master’s degree in urban planning at the University of Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée in 2012. Alongside the land development projects for several French ski resorts, Quentin Drouet has developed his own musical creations inspired by his emotions and previous travels. Open to experimental projects, he has accompanied literature readings at occasional events in libraries, bookstores and cultural evenings in the French Alps in recent years. Shades, rhythms, harmonies, dissonances, melody, random notes … silence: everything can be part of a musical story as long as the main intention ensures unity. He interrupted his professional career in France to undertake his doctoral studies at the University of Ljubljana in the field of spatial planning in 2020. Besides his doctoral research project, he is willing to develop convivial and inclusive musical projects with other forms of art.

Umetnika raziskujeta odnos med zvokom in besedo tako, da sledita čustvom, notranji energiji, ki vznika v prostorih, v katerih se srečujeta. Klavirska glasba in poezija se prepletata znotraj izraznega procesa: senzorično doživljanje čustev se preliva v tok gibanja navzven, v okolje. Posebno pozornost posvečata »veselju«, »radosti«, ki se porajata ob umetniškem (so)ustvarjanju, kot tudi širše. Pri tem se navezujeta na vsebino besede »joy«, ki znotraj trubadurskega pesništva opisuje duševno stanje, ki kljub prisotnosti bolečine (ali prav zaradi te), ustvarja prostor, kjer napetosti med nasprotji izginejo, se transformirajo v (kozmično) vibracijo užitka.
The two artists explore the relationship between the sound and the word by pursuing their emotions, their inner energy arising in the spaces where they meet. Piano music and poetry intertwine within the expressive process: the sensorial experience of emotions flows outwards, into the environment. In addition, they attach special attention to “happiness”, “joy” arising during the co-creative process, but also in broader terms. They refer to the meaning of the world “joie”, which, in the context of the troubadour lyric poetry denotes a mental state that, despite the presence of pain (or perhaps precisely because of it), generates a space where the tensions between antagonisms disappear, transforming themselves into a (cosmic) vibration of pleasure.

Yolanda Castaño, pesnica, esejistka, urednica in kuratorka, je direktorica mednarodne pisateljske rezidence »Residencia Literaria 1863« v La Coruñi, Galicija. Je eno mednarodno najbolj prepoznavnih imen sodobne galicijske poezije; v galicijščini in španščini je doslej objavila šest zbirk, pesmi pa ima prevedene v več kot 30 jezikov. V več kot 40 državah se je udeležila festivalov in literarnih dogodkov. Je finalistka nacionalne nagrade za poezijo, prejemnica nacionalne kritiške nagrade, pesniške nagrad »Espiral Maior«, nagrade Fundación Novacaixagalicia in mnogih drugih. Je tudi vidna kulturna aktivistka, redno prireja festivale, pisateljske in prevajalske delavnice ter edini mednarodni mesečni bralni cikel v Španiji. Poezijo prepleta z glasbo, likovno umetnostjo, videom, arhitekturo, virtualnim 360-stopinjskim filmom, plesom in celo kuhanjem, za kar je bila prav tako nagrajena.
Yolanda Castaño, poet, essayist, editor and curator, is director of the international writer’s residence Residencia Literaria 1863 in La Coruña, Galicia. One of the most international names in Galician contemporary poetry, she has published six poetry collections in Galician and Spanish, she also has poems translated into more than 30 languages. She has participated in festivals and literary manifestations of over 40 countries. A finalist of the National Poetry Prize, she is the Winner of the National Critics Award, the Espiral Maior Poetry Award, the Fundación Novacaixagalicia Prize, and many other awards. She is a relevant cultural activist too, regularly organizing festivals, literary and translation workshops and the only international monthly readings series in Spain. She has mixed poetry with music, visual arts, video, architecture, V.R. film in 360º, comic, dance and even cookery, being awarded for that too.
María Lado (Cee, 1979) je galicijska pesnica, ki je poezijo začela pisati zgodaj. Prvenec (A primeira visión) je objavila leta 1997, sledile pa so zbirke casa atlántica, casa cabaret (2002), Berlín (2005), Nove (2008), Amantes (2011), Oso, mamá, si? (2015) and Gramo Stendhal (2020). Leta 2018 je začela sodelovati z igralko Irio Pinheiro, s katero sta napisali pesniško knjigo Uralita (2019) in gledališko igro Anatomía dunha Serea, izbrano za najboljše dramsko besedilo pri Nagradah Maríe Casares Galicijskega gledališča. Objavila je tudi dve knjigi za otroke in kratki roman. Tesno je povezana z gledališčem, napisala je veliko dram. Od leta 2005 s pisateljico Lucío Aldao sodeluje pri pesniških nastopih. Izid te izkušnje je poetični duet po imenu Aldaolado. Nedavno sta izdali knjigo Ninguén morreu de ler poesía.
María Lado (Cee, 1979) is a Galician poet. She started to write poetry at an early age, publishing her first book in 1997 (A primeira vision) followed by the poetry books casa atlántica, casa cabaret (2002), Berlín (2005), Nove (2008), Amantes (2011), Oso, mamá, si? (2015) and Gramo Stendhal (2020). In 2018, she began collaborating with the actress Iria Pinheiro. They wrote the poems of Uralita, published in 2019, as well as the theater script Anatomía dunha Serea chosen as the best script at the María Casares Awards of the Galician Theater. In addition, she has published two children’s books, and a short novel. She is closely tied to the theater and wrote many scripts in turn. Furthermore, since 2005, she has worked on poetry shows with the writer Lucía Aldao. The result of this experience is their poetical duet called Aldaolado. They recently published the book Ninguén morreu de ler poesía.
Jesús Castro Yáñez (Baltar, A Pastoriza; 1992) je galicijski pisatelj, ki je leta 2015 osvojil nagrado Nélide Piñón za kratko zgodbo O vello e o minotauro, leta 2016 pa nacionalno pesniško nagrado Péreza Paralléja za knjigo Os nomes e os himnos, ki jo je pozneje preoblikoval v transmedijski projekt na https://www.instagram.com/catroxardinsardendo/ – namenjen predvajanju na pametnem telefonu; vsebuje fotografije iz umetnikovega družinskega arhiva kot tudi nove različice pesmi – in performans Ningún quería ser nube, v katerem je uporabil videoprojekcijo in telesno izraznost pri obravnavi tem, kakršne so ponotranjena homofobija in zločini iz sovraštva do kvirovske skupnosti. Leta je 2017 objavil /\/\/\, svoj prvenec v angleščini, v okviru projekta poetrywillbemadebyall.com, in Ultramarino, pesniško knjigo, ki uporablja tako besedilo kot cianotipijo. Leta 2021 je izdal Campo de plumas, pesemski izbor pesmi pisateljev LGBT+ skozi zgodovino, ki ga je sam sestavil in prevedel.
Jesús Castro Yáñez (Baltar, A Pastoriza; 1992), a Galician writer, won the 2015 Nélida Piñón Prize for his short story O vello e o minotauro and the 2016 Pérez Parallé National Poetry Prize for his book Os nomes e os himnos, which he later turned into a transmedia project with https://www.instagram.com/catroxardinsardendo/ —designed to be experienced on smartphone and including pictures from the artist’s family archive as well as new versions of the poems— and the performance Ningún quería ser nube in which he used video projection and body expression to deal with subjects such as internalized homophobia and hate crimes against the queer community. In 2017, he published /\/\/\, his debut in English, within the project poetrywillbemadebyall.com, and Ultramarino, a poetry book using both text and cyanotypes. In 2021 appeared Campo de plumas, a collection of poems by LGBT+ writers across history that he curated and translated.
Veronika Dintinjana (Ljubljana, 1977) je pesnica, prevajalka in kirurginja. Njena prva pesniška zbirka Rumeno gori grm forzicij je na Slovenskem knjižnem sejmu prejela nagrado za najboljši leposlovni prvenec. Za drugo knjigo pesmi V suhem doku (2016) ji je Društvo slovenskih pisateljev podelilo ugledno Jenkovo nagrado za najboljšo pesniško zbirko zadnjih dveh let. Kot prevajalka se najbolj posveča sodobni severnoameriški in irski poeziji; objavila je poezijo Louise Glück, Muriel Rukeyser, Denise Levertov, Ciarana O’Driscolla, Ursule K. Le Guin, Seamusa Heaneyja, v sodelovanju s Christi Dintinjana pa pesmi Pabla Nerude.
Veronika Dintinjana (1977, Ljubljana) is a poet, translator, and surgeon. Her first book of poetry, Rumeno gori grm forzicij (Yellow Burns the Forsythia Bush, 2008), won the Slovenian Book Fair award for Best First Book. Her second book, V suhem doku (In Dry Dock, 2016), received the Slovenian Writers’ Association’s prestigious Jenko Prize for best poetry published in previous two years. As a translator, her main interest is contemporary North American and Irish poetry; her published translations include the works of Louise Glück, Muriel Rukeyser, Denise Levertov, Ciaran O’Driscoll, Ursula K. Le Guin, Seamus Heaney, and, in collaboration with Christi Dintinjana, Pablo Neruda.
Barbara Jurša (Maribor, 1986) je študirala primerjalno književnost in anglistiko na Filozofski fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani. Podiplomsko se je ukvarjala s področjem okoljske humanistike. Njene delovne izkušnje prepletajo prevajanje in poučevanje jezika. Živi v Trstu in dela v Izoli, kjer poučuje angleščino kot strokovni jezik na Fakulteti za vede o zdravju Univerze na Primorskem.
Barbara Jurša (Maribor, 1986) earned her BA in Comparative Literature and English Language from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. At postgraduate level, she investigated the field of environmental humanities. Her professional experience is a combination of translating and language teaching. She lives in Trieste and works in Izola, where she teaches English for Professional Purposes at the College of Health Care within the University of Primorska.
Gašper Malej (Koper, 1975) je avtor pesniških zbirk Otok, slutnje, poljub (2004), Rezi v zlatem (2009) in Pod tisto celino (2017). Posebej intenzivno se ukvarja s prevajanjem iz italijanske književnosti in je eden od najbolj uveljavljenih slovenskih literarnih prevajalcev svoje generacije; njegov prevajalski opus obsega 33 knjig, več uprizorjenih gledaliških besedil ter preko 200 drugih objav. Za prevod romana P. P. Pasolinija Nafta je maja 2011 prejel nagrado zlata ptica; za prevajalski opus pa leta 2016 državno nagrado za prevajanje italijanskega Ministrstva za kulturo in turizem. Njegova poezija je bila prevedena v več kot 20 jezikov in objavljena v nekaj antologijah v Sloveniji in tujini; udeležil se je več slovenskih in mednarodnih literarnih festivalov, turnej, srečanj in pesniško-prevajalskih delavnic ter bil večkrat gost literarnih rezidenc.
Gašper Malej (1975, Koper) is a Slovenian poet with three books of poetry to his name: Otok, slutnje, poljub (An Island, Premonitions, a Kiss; 2004) and Rezi v zlatem (The Cuts in Gold; 2009), and Pod tisto celino (Underneath that Continent; 2017). A prolific translator of Italian literature, he is one of the most notable Slovenian literary translators of his generation; his work comprises 33 translated books, several theatre scripts, and more than 200 other publications. His translation of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s novel Petrolio won him the Golden Bird Award in 2011. In 2016, he received the National Translation Prize awarded by the Italian Ministry of Culture and Tourism for his body of work in translation. He has participated in several international literary festivals, tours, meetings, and translation workshops, also undertaking several literary residencies.

Ignacy Karpowicz (1976, Białystok) je študiral iberistiko in afrikanistiko na Varšavski univerzi. Doslej je napisal osem knjig; romane Baladine in romance (2013), osti (2017) in Ljubezen (2020) imamo tudi v slovenskem prevodu. Velja za enega najzanimivejših avtorjev svoje generacije in bleščečega stilista. Za svoje delo je prejel »potni list« Polityke (2010), Nike po izboru bralcev (2014) in štirikrat białystoško nagrado W. Kazaneckega. Njegovi romani so prevedeni v številne jezike. Roman Ljubezen govori o homoseksualni ljubezni v senci družbene stigme, homofobije in avtohomofobije. Dogaja se na štirih pripovednih ravneh – v preteklosti, distopični prihodnosti, brezčasju pravljice in sodobnosti – ki jih povezuje ponavljanje motivov, imen junakov in navezav na pisateljev dosedanji opus. Pripoved o pisatelju Jarosławu Iwaszkiewiczu skozi oči njegove žene, v duhu njunega časa prepletena s sublimacijami in nedorečenostmi, slika posledice življenja v laži. Distopična zgodba stanje aktualne homofobne poljske politike preslikava v bližnjo prihodnost. Pravljični segment o nesebičnem prijateljstvu uvaja telo, trpeče v bolezni, podobno kot vložna izpoved prvoosebnega naratorja o premagovanju odpora do lastne telesnosti. Knjiga je tudi svojevrsten literarni eksperiment, ki združuje štiri pripovedne konvencije ter kompleksnost sloga dosega s stilizacijo, citatnostjo, leksikalnim razponom od arhaizmov do neologizmov in mestoma lirično jezikovno svežino.
Ignacy Karpowicz (1976, Białystok, Poland) graduated from Iberian and African Studies at the University of Warsaw. He has written eight books; the novels Balladyny i romanse (Ballads and Romances, 2010), Osci (Spikes, 2013), and Miłość (Love, 2017) are also available in Slovenian. Considered as one of the most intriguing authors of his generation, he has received the Passport Award by the Polityka magazine (2010), the Nike Readers’ Award (2014) and the Wiesław Kazanecki Prize (four times). His novels have been translated into a number of languages. His novel Love depicts homosexual love in the shadow of social stigma, homophobia, and auto-homophobia. It takes place on four narrative levels – the past, the dystopian future, the timelessness of a fairytale, and the present – joined together by recurrent motifs, the names of the characters, and the references to the author’s previous body of work. The story about the writer Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz as viewed by his wife, intertwined with sublimations and inconsistencies in the spirit of their time, portrays the consequences of life based on lies. The dystopian story projects the state of the current Polish homophobic politics into a near future. The fairytale segment describing a selfless friendship is introduced by the representation of a body suffering from illness, similarly to the inserted confession of the first-person narrator on surmounting the hate for his own carnality. Likewise, the book is a unique literary experiment combining four different narrative conventions, achieving the complexity of its style with stylization, the use of quotations, the vast array of lexemes ranging from archaisms to neologisms, with occasional lyrical freshness of language.
Trio Tjaša&Miha&Dani
Prekmurje ni znano samo po svoji gostoljubnosti in odlični kulinariki, ampak tudi po ljudski glasbi. Ta se precej razlikuje od ostale slovenske glasbe in prav nikogar ne pusti ravnodušnega. Prekmurje je na stičišču več kultur, kar se odraža v melodiki in besedilih pesmi. S to glasbo sta odraščala violinist Miha Kavaš in cimbalist Dani Kolarič, ki sta svoje prve glasbene korake naredila v zasedbi Mlada beltinska banda. S pevko, s katero Miha igra pri zasedbi Ethnotrip, Tjašo Šimonka Kavaš, želijo vsakemu poslušalcu pričarati delček Prekmurja – zgodbe o lübezni, Muri in življenju.
The Tjaša&Miha&Dani Trio
Prekmurje, the northeastern region of Slovenia, is not only known for its hospitality and excellent gastronomy, but also for its folk music. It is markedly different from the rest of the Slovenian music and does not let anybody indifferent. Prekmurje lies at the crossroads of several cultures, which is reflected in the melodics and the lyrics of its songs. The violinist Miha Kavaš and the cymbalist Dani Kolarič grew up with this music, making their firsts musical steps in the group Mlada Beltinška banda (Young Beltinci Band). Joined by Tjaša Šimonka Kavaš, the singer who Miha plays with in the group Ethnotrip, they wish to conjure a piece of Prekmurje in every listener – the stories of love, the Mura River, and life.

Natalija Milovanović (Niš, Srbija; 1995) je odraščala v Bosni in Hercegovini in Sloveniji. Trenutno končuje študij prevajalstva na univerzi v Gradcu, Avstrija. Prevaja iz srbščine/ bosanščine/ hrvaščine, nemščine in angleščine. Objavljala je v revijah Poetikon, Literatura, Sodobnost, v zborniku mlade poezije in proze s prostora nekdanje Jugoslavije Rukopisi 41 kot tudi v dvojezičnem zborniku Biće bolje/ Bo že. V soavtorstvu s Tanjo Božić je 2019 objavila chapbook performativnega pesniškega dvogovora Udomačevanje domačih živali / Pripitomljavanje domaćih životinja, ki sta ga predstavili v Ljubljani in Podgorici ter posneli na Radiu Študent. Prva avtorska knjiga poezije nosi naslov Samoumevno (Center za slovensko književnost, 2021).
Natalija Milovanović (Niš, Srbija; 1995) is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Translation Studies at the University of Graz, Austria. She translates from Serbian / Bosnian / Croatian, German, and English. She has contributed to the literary magazines Poetikon, Literatura, Sodobnost, the Rukopisi 41 almanac of young poetry and prose from the former Yugoslavia, and the bilingual almanac Biće bolje / Bo že. In 2019, she published the chapbook of performative poetic dialog Udomačevanje domačih živali / Pripitomljavanje domaćih životinja (Domesticating domestic animals) co-authored with Tanja Božić, presented in Ljubljana and Podgorica and recorded at “Radio Študent” radio station. Her first original poetry collection is entitled Samoumevno (Taken for Granted) (Center za slovensko književnost, 2021).
Eneja a Marok
Eneja Golob Džananović se rada skrije za umetniškim imenom Eneja a Marok. Rodila se je v Ljubljani, kjer še vedno živi. Je gimnazijka in v zadnjih dveh letih se razvija kot glasbenica. Že od malih nog se je je umetnost vedno dotaknila, njena prva radost pa je bil ples. Želela je postati bobnarka ali basistka, a je na koncu pristala v glasbeni šoli s kitaro. Imela je dva benda, a šele ko je med prvo karanteno ostala zaprta samo s kitaro, looperjem in mikrofonom, je spoznala, kaj vse ji glasba lahko da. Prvi album Liquida je posnela v pičlih treh dneh. Ukvarja se tudi z vizualno umetnostjo: od fotografije, slikanja do filma.
Eneja a Marok
Eneja Golob Džananović likes to hide behind the stage name Eneja a Marok. She was born in Ljubljana, where she still lives. She is a high school student. In the past two days, she has been growing as a musician. She has been moved by arts ever since she was a little kid, her first joy being dancing. She wanted to become a drummer and a bass player, but she ended up in a music school with a guitar. She has had two bands already, but it was not until she got stuck home with a guitar, a looper pedal, and a mic during the first lockdown that she realized how much music can give her. She recorded her first album Liquida in no more than three days. Besides, she is involved with visual arts: photography, painting, movie-making.
